ICM took on the challenge of retrofitting an old restaurant, which required reusing the existing AHU and ductwork system. The scope consisted of installing new chilled water piping, ductwork, air distribution, MUA, and exhaust fans. Plus, tying into existing ductwork, linear diffusers, and relocating the AHU-2. The project, like most retrofits, had space challenges, installing hangers into a post-tension slab for rehanging the AHU, new ductwork, and water piping. Yes, it was X-rayed! The kitchen grease ductwork was designed on-site to facilitate the owner’s kitchen hood, considering the kitchen exhaust fan, MUA, and ductwork. This was a zero-punch list project and was completed within the required scheduled time.
